Session Hazy IPA | 5.6% ABV, 55 IBU Mango, Tropical Fruit, Pineapple This is the IPA that screams summer! The Copper Trail Beach Daze will make you feel like you are sitting beach side at your favorite local hang. This is a hazy beer through and through, but don’t let that fool you. The aromas of tropical fruit and citrus help accentuate some deep flavors of pineapple and mango with the perfect blend of Azacca, Ekuanot, and Citra hops. It is not an overly bitter brew, nor is it a heavy hitter, which makes this the perfect refreshing brew for a hot summer day. Minnesota only has a short window of nice days to enjoy, so make as many of them Beach Daze as you can!
Kölsch | 4.8% ABV, 18 IBU Summer Suds is exactly that...summer in a glass. This sessionable brew brings out the best 2 months of Minnesota. Lemon and lime citrus undertones complement the honey malt. For being so light, the suds is packed full of flavor! This could just be the perfect refreshing beach beer.
Irish Red Ale | 5.8% ABV, 20 IBU Not your regular corned beef and cabbage…this brew features a toasty caramel aroma, and a reddish-copper hue. The sweet up front and smooth semi-dry finish makes this Irish Red highly complex. It offers smoky hints of fire roast, and an indulgence of smooth, bready, and caramel flavors. This is the local Alexandria favorite.
Citra Pale Ale | 6% ABV, 41 IBU This summer special is the king of thirst quenchers in Minnesota’s summer heat. The hops used in this beer do not force a bitterness that is commonly found in typical IPAs. The citra hop is in the driver seat of aroma and flavor, contributing tropical and citrus fruit character that is guaranteed to please any crowd!
Rye Beer | 5% ABV, 19 IBU When the 8 Goths and 22 Norwegians made the voyage to Minnesota in 1362, you could have been sure they were thirsty. The Runestone Rye is an homage to this hotly debated artifact. Much like the Kensington Runestone, it is a little rough around the edges. The Rye adds a peppery undertone which complements its semi-sweet malt bill. This beer is nothing short of a legend.
Just The Tip
Spruce Tip Pale Ale | 4.9% ABV, 57 IBU Imagine the crisp air of a fresh morning walk through the woods. The dew is still on the trees. The evergreens are swollen with new growth. The tips of the spruce trees suddenly appear in your beer - It’s also not suddenly morning any more. This pale ale is mildly bitter, has hints of citrus and fruitiness from the hops, and finishes with a pleasant yet not overpowering dose of spruce and pine. Have fun with this one, it only comes once a year.
Blueberry Wheat | 5.5% ABV, 17 IBU This is the perfect brew to keep you warm as fall approaches. The blueberry isn’t overpowering. There is a touch of honey malt that adds a sweet backnote. The red wheat adds some fun depth to the beer. All the while, you can reminisce to Grandma’s Blueberry Pies cooling on the window sill on a brisk autumn day.
Light Ale | 5.2% ABV, 18 IBU When you need a light, refreshing, crisp beer, what is your go to? Something with mountains on the side, or maybe a can that tells you to shush when it opens? Milkshake IPA | 6.7% AB, 88 IBU Combining two of our favorite things, the Hopshake IPA leaves nothing left to be desired! Up front you will get a nose of orange, grapefruit, and lemon. Immediately following the first sip is the ever so thick lactose sugar sweetness that we have all come to love in a good Milkshake IPA. The final zing you get zapped with is a smooth bitterness rounded out by subtle vanilla backnotes. Yeah! Let Hopshake be your new favorite IPA from Copper Trail!
IPA | 6.8% ABV, 96 IBU At first appearance, this IPA hands you a fluffy off-white head and a gorgeously clear copper hue. After the first sip, it’s nice warmth and full bodied nature is reminiscent of curling up next to a toasty bonfire. The crisp semi-bitter bite makes this a sit around the fire type of brew. Down to the last drop, this is true hops at its finest.
Cherrywood Smoked IPA | 5.5% ABV, 47 IBU A Hop-forward Cherrywood Smoked specialty Beer - This is a brew that will make you feel like you are sitting next to the bonfire in the back yard of your lake cabin. The calming sound of crickets around you, the snapping of some oak, the grill still warm with Cherrywood from the evening steaks.
Milk Chocolate Stout | 6.1% ABV, 45 IBU The sun has set on this Minnesota specialty brew. We’ve all been there when the clock strikes twelve. Just a slight breeze accompanies the vastness of the sky above. Stars as far as you can see. The Midwest Midnight is smooth with a slight sweetness. Berry and Nectar poke through from some insanely awesome hops. The Cacoa Nibs from Ghana give a chocolaty finish that fights with a roasty and slightly astringent dryness for the final flavors. It is getting late, and you are in the Midwest.
Scottish Export | 6.3% ABV, 21 IBU Golf. Scotland. Hand in hand. Play 18 holes, what comes next? The 19th Hole! This brew packs a punch and is true to its style. Heavy caramel and earthiness come through but are definitely not overpowering. From the course to your hand, sit back and relax after a long summer day!
Smash Pale Ale | 5.8% ABV, 50 IBU A beer brewed with one malt and one hop! A pale ale malt that was malted right in Detroit Lakes, MN was used for this brew. It is a very sweet malt that brings a large depth of complexity. The hop chosen was a Simcoe hop. We chose it to provide a super refreshing undertone, while also adding a slight bitterness to the back end. At only 50 IBU’s, this beer only has a hint of sharpness, so it is sure to please on the hottest of summer days!
