Alexandria, this brewery is for you!

Over the course of our history, Alexandria has had 4 breweries.  Copper Trail is the 5th.  The last brewery closed its doors over 70 years ago, so let's take a moment to appreciate this.

The craft beer movement took its hold when the Surly bill was introduced in 2011.  This allowed the State of Minnesota to allow what is now knows as the Brewery Taproom.  Beer is brewed on site, and you are allowed to consume it on site.  Since then, Minnesota's craft brewers have grown to a 1.3 billion dollar industry, and have topped over 100 breweries!

Locally, you will finally be able to enjoy some of the freshest beer you've ever tried a mere 20 feet from where it was made.  Please enjoy all the hard work that everyone has done to make this a possibility!

The Taproom

A clean-cut craftsman and industrial style taproom with a relaxing atmosphere located in Historic Downtown Alexandria. With seating for 150 at either our bar top, BORD tables or custom made tables made from refurbished wood right from our site.

Ask for a tour of our brewery system and see exactly how your craft beer was made 20 feet from where it was poured.

Please make use of the wide selection of games we have on hand. From Cribbage to Checkers, Jenga to Scrabble, have fun! Try not to flip any boards over when your niece puts that last hotel on Park Place...

Stop in, have a brew from the frequently changing tap list, and grab a Growler or Crowler to go.
